After months of anticipation, the Godzilla vs. Kong trailer is finally here, bringing two of Hollywood’s most iconic monsters together in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
I haven’t exactly kept up with the whole Monsterverse, and I’m not even sure that I saw the last Kong movie (Kong: Skull Island), but judging by the trailer, it looks like you don’t really need to follow the entire timeline, you can just site back and enjoy the mayhem as these two monstrous legends battle it out, leaving a trail of mayhem in their wake.
Godzilla vs. Kong is set to release both in theaters and on HBO Max on March 26 as part of Warner Bros’ simultaneous release strategy. And honestly, the fact that these new movies are being shown on HBO Max (for 31 days from the theatrical release) is the only reason I’m even subscribing to the new streaming service.
Wonder Woman 1984 was a dud, but hopefully this one will be better.
