The coronavirus pandemic has brought the movie industry to a halt, but hopefully things will be returning to normal sooner than later. At least Twentieth Century Studios thinks so, as they’ve just released the trailer for Free Guy, an epic adventure-comedy starring Ryan Reynolds that’s set to be released on December 11th.
Meet Guy, a bank teller who after discovering that he’s actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.
While the movie has a bit of a The Truman Show vibe going on, the similarities end there. It looks like a fun movie, and Reynolds always brings the laughs. So you better believe that I’ll be checking this out (probably with a mask on) when it comes out!
